Don’t be embarrassed over the amount of weight you lift, or the amount of miles you run, the yoga poses you haven’t mastered yet, or how you still get winded running up the stairs. We are all starting somewhere.
Maybe it’s the competitor in me, but I want to be the strongest one in the room.
Yeah, thanks mom. And when I tried to talk to her about it she’s all “I don’t think of him as fat” and I’m like “He’s made of dough! He’s a Dough Boy. He was a lot more round until the modern PDB came out and they shrunk him down. Still he’s fluffy.”
My mom is also 5’5, 5’6 130lbs (maybe less), mostly muscle with a freak out whenever her size 6 jeans don’t fit loose.
I am 185 (lowest I’ve ever been), 5’1 with only the muscle I was born with. I can say I’m fat. You could even say that. But don’t call me the PDB.
Tis the season for food guilt, health shaming and misinformation memes! Here’s a few tips to deal with the influx of “1 serving of mashed potatoes = 30 minutes of running, 1 piece of pie = 300 burpees” crap you’re seeing today (or will see this weekend).
Never gonna not reblog this.
We all have had those days, weeks, months or even years. Thankfully we are able to choose to let go of the past and look forward to the future.
Key word “choose” of course. =) It’s so easy to dwell on the past. To rethink and relive it. And once that happens, it’s so hard to get yourself out of that mindset you were struggling to let go of. During that moment, the easiest thing to do is to simply give up everything you worked hard for in order to move forward.
We have to remember we have a choice to simply let it all go and find ways to stay on the right path. This could be geared towards fitness, goals, life, love, etc. Surround yourself with people who accept who YOU are and understand your goals in life. Let go of the unhealthy relationships and environments that continue to bring you down. Choose to be a part of life instead of watching it go by and look forward to what is in store for you. =)
